Do you love Murano Glass, the history of Murano Glass is an interesting one. Historically Murano Glass jewelry can trace its origins back to the 10th Century, originating from the island of Murano, just off the Venetian Coast in Italy.
The oldest glass factory still in operation today is Antica Vetreria Fratelli Toso originally founded in 1854.
Whilst the method is complex, most Murano Glass is made using the ‘lampworked‘ technique.
Though there are various techniques and methods used depending on the style, colour or look the glassmaker is wanting to achieve.
